ProgRes C12 Digital Camera

Widespread and easy to handle interfaces as well as brilliant image quality are only two features that charcterise the ProgRes C12. The C12 as the latest model in the successfull ProgRes series is based on the profund technical know-how of the ProgRes C14 camera. It has been developed as an easy to handle digital camera with medium resolution for a broad spectrum of image aquisition issues in industrial and scientific microscopy.
 
Resolution
The ProgRes C12 features a 3.15 megapixel Sony CCD with microlenses and on-chip color mask. A ideal prerequisite for fast image acquisition in a resolution sufficient for most imaging issues. Similiar to JENOPTIK's well proven Microscanning technique the camera offers a "Two-Shot" mode for enhancement of contrast and luminance. Five programmable resolutions offer the appropriate frame size for all possible applications.

Sensor Capsule, Exposure Times and Dynamic Range
The capsuled CCD sensor is sealed against dust and other particles. The IR blocking filter placed well in front of the CCD sensor acts an additional dust protection. This makes the ProgRes C12 the ideal tool for everyday photographic issues in nearly all laboratory environments.
A range of exposure times from 0.125 milliseconds up to 2 seconds provides scope for most imaging issues.
An internal A/D conversion of 12 bits enables the ProgRes C12 to register finest color nuances. The image result is an optimum prerequisite for all possible output media from screen to print.
 
Interfaces
A modern IEEE1394 FireWire interface offers speed and flexibility: the adaption of a digital camera has never been so easy. You just need to plug in a single cable to make the ProgRes C12 ready for operation. Its 400Mbit/s FireWire® interface connects the ProgRes C12 to a desktop computer or a laptop - power supply included. Hot plugging and OHCI compatibility make the ProgRes C12 to your first choice when it comes to integrating a digital camera into your laboratory equipment.
A C-mount connector is used to attach the little digital camera to a microscope using a standard TV-adaptor. You can also attach standard C-mount lenses for using your ProgRes C12 for high-resolution macro-photography.
 
Software
The ProgRes C12 is delivered with camera software for Macintosh and Windows based computers. For the Windows 98/SE, ME, NT4.0, 2000 and XP platform the camera software is a TWAIN plugin that integrates neatlessly into most image processing applications.
