About
This dataset is an embryonic mouse heart, that has been prepared using the High-Resolution Episcopic Microscopy (HREM) protocol, that involves successively sectioning and imaging of the sample in embedded resin.
The dataset is a 2D image stack generated with a Optical HREM system, it has been downsized (~10%), inverted and brightness adapted for importing into a 3D software with ease.
How to use
The stack can be used simply by importing into most common 3D viewer applications such as Dragonfly, Fiji etc.
If you do not currently have a 3D dataset you can use the 3D viewer application we offer that should allow for simple viewing. The stack has a spacing of X/Y:6um Z: 3um.
Using Indigo 3D Viewer to visualise mouse heart dataset
Download our 3D viewer application from our website and the dataset
Select 'Volume' in the what do you want to open dialog

Open the image stack by double clicking the directory and set the X/Y/Z resolution as required

Click 'Render'

Now the 3D should appear, use the colour and opacity settings to visualise the model
